Alyssa Johnston, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Alyssa is a pediatric occupational therapist with a special interest in supporting infants, young children, and their families through the early stages of development. She holds a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Carleton University.

Over seven years of practice, Alyssa has worked closely with young children and their caregivers in home, clinic, school, and community settings, using a naturalistic, play-based approach to support sensory processing and self-regulation, feeding and self-care skills, fine and gross motor development, and meaningful play and social engagement. She also has ample experience supporting the development of school readiness skills and assisting families and children through the transition to school.

Alyssa is a strong advocate for family-centred care, believing that close collaboration with caregivers builds confidence and connection from the start. She brings genuine passion for working with families, community partners, and other interdisciplinary care team members to promote wellbeing and lead to the best outcomes for her clients. Alyssa looks forward to helping families feel supported, informed, and confident through the early years.
