Krista completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and holds Qualifying registrant status with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Krista also volunteers with Postpartum Support International, connecting people to resources, and support. Krista believes all individuals are capable of meaningful change, and approaches therapy collaboratively from a strengths-based stance. Krista shares lived experience with fertility treatments, perinatal loss, and birth/parenting during the early stages of the pandemic. Krista appreciates the profound transitions involved throughout the perinatal period, all of which deserve compassionate, and timely support toward positive well-being for individuals, and families. Krista’s main areas of care include perinatal mental health, fertility, attachment and bonding, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, trauma, coping development, and self-compassion. Krista follows a flexible, integrative approach to therapy viewing the client as the expert authority of their experiences, using strategies from psychodynamic therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, strengths-based cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, and Gottman method therapy models. Krista has completed additional trainings in Gottman method couples therapy (Level 1 and Level 2), Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, as well as advanced trainings in perinatal mental health issues. Krista provides virtual psychotherapy services in English for adults and couples in Ontario. Receipts will be issued including her registration with the CRPO as a Qualifying registrant. Please check with your insurance provider ahead of services to ensure coverage details and requirements for reimbursement. Krista anticipates transferring from Qualifying status to full RP status in early 2025.
