Lizzy Cook

Parent Support Practitioner

Lizzy is an experienced early years professional with more than 20 years supporting children and families across both England and Canada. Originally from England, she moved to Ottawa with her young family in 2009 and brings a deep understanding of what it means to rebuild community and navigate early parenthood while far from home.

Her extensive career in early childhood settings has given her a broad, practical understanding of child development and family support. Lizzy has worked with children of diverse ages and needs and is skilled at creating calm, responsive environments where families feel understood, supported, and empowered. Her approach is grounded in empathy, patience, and the belief that every family’s story is unique.

With the insight that comes from raising three young men, Lizzy recognizes how overwhelming, joyful, and isolating the early days with a new baby can feel. She is committed to offering steady, judgment-free care that meets parents exactly where they are, helping them move through challenges with confidence and clarity.

Lizzy values celebrating small wins, honouring each family’s strengths, and building connections that feel warm and reassuring. Outside of her work, she enjoys zumba, yoga, crochet, and frequently rearranging the furniture. She also loves spending time with her family and bringing creativity, balance, and fun into everyday life.

She serves Barrhaven, Nepean, Little Italy, Westboro, The Glebe, Mooney's Bay, Bells Corners, Stittsville, Richmond, Manotick, North Gower, Greely, Osgoode, Kars.
