Ruta is a postpartum doula who feels deeply called to support families in the tender, transformative days of life with a newborn. Growing up as a third culture kid, she learned early on the importance of belonging, adaptability, and the strength of community.
With a background as an early years educator in Canada and internationally, Ruta brings a wealth of knowledge about child development, cultural sensitivity, and the importance of secure, loving environments for babies and parents alike. This experience shapes the way she approaches her doula work—meeting families where they are, honouring their unique traditions, and creating a safe space where every story is valued.
Her care is rooted in gentleness, patience, and a profound respect for the sacred transition into parenthood. She believes every family deserves to be held with kindness—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—while they adjust to new rhythms. With open hands and an open heart, Ruta offers reassurance, tends to the baby so parents can rest, or simply holds space with quiet presence.
For Ruta, this work is more than care—it is about creating a circle of warmth where parents feel safe, seen, and supported. Her hope is that each family she walks beside enters this new chapter feeling rested, confident, and deeply connected. Ruta serves Riverside South,Barrhaven, Glebe, Westboro, Algonquin College Area, Centertown, and Nepean.
