***CURRENTLY ONLY ACCEPTING NEW ROOTED BEGINNINGS CLIENTS** Stephanie is a Psychotherapist with over 7 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds on their mental health journeys. She believes every client is unique and is committed to respecting and honouring each person’s individual experiences and needs. Using a holistic, client-centred approach, Stephanie is a process-based therapist who integrates aspects of mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), attachment-based therapies, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) into personalized care. Whether navigating anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, infertility, relationship challenges, self-esteem and identity concerns, life transitions, or difficult family dynamics, Stephanie is dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate, and supportive space for healing and growth. She believes therapy should be a judgment-free space where clients can openly explore their fears, anxieties, and struggles.
Stephanie is also a Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH) therapist specializing in supporting expectant mothers and their families during the transformative journey into parenthood and beyond. With a deep passion for maternal and parental wellbeing, Stephanie offers compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy to help clients navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise during conception, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. Her work includes support for fertility and reproductive challenges, birth trauma, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and the complexities of pregnancy and infant loss. Stephanie has also completed specialized training in perinatal grief and loss support. Stephanie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Having personally navigated infertility and reproductive challenges, pregnancy, birth, postpartum mental health challenges, and the transition into motherhood, she understands the profound impact this season can have on mental health and identity. She sees individual clients in person and provides services in English.
In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Stephanie provides clinical oversight and care coordination within Rooted Family Wellness Centre’s Rooted Beginnings Program — a structured postpartum care program that integrates hands-on, in-home support with her ongoing clinical guidance. In this role, she conducts intake assessments, develops individualized Plans of Care for families, and provides ongoing clinical consultation, education, resources, and support throughout the postpartum period. Stephanie works collaboratively alongside the Postpartum Care Practitioners to help ensure care remains responsive, ethical, and aligned with evidence-informed perinatal practice. Stephanie’s services may be eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefits plans under Registered Social Work services.
