Stephanie is a dedicated Registered Social Worker who specializes in the perinatal field, focusing on the emotional well-being of those navigating reproductive challenges, as well as expectant and new mothers/birthers and their families.Stephanie completed her master's degree in Social Work at Carleton University, followed by specialized training in perinatal mental health. Her deep passion for supporting women during their transformative journey into motherhood began with her own lived experience navigating fertility and reproductive challenges and treatments, pregnancy, birth, and transitioning into motherhood. As a counsellor, Stephanie aims to provide compassion and understanding while serving as a trusted support for those navigating challenges across the perinatal spectrum. Stephanie’s client-centered, therapeutic approach is rooted in trust, compassion, and evidence-based interventions. She practices from an eclectic approach that draws on aspects of interpersonal therapy, attachment therapy, mindfulness, and dialectical behaviour therapy. Stephanie believes in providing a safe, judgment-free space for adults or teens to openly express their fears, anxieties, and struggles. Her work not only focuses on fertility challenges, perinatal mood disorders, relationship and family dynamics, and matrescence but also fosters emotional resilience, self-care, and healthy, secure mother-child bonding. Stephanie is committed to raising awareness of and advocating for perinatal mental health within the community. Stephanie provides services in English for adults and teens.
