Mental Health Counsellor

**CURRENTLY ONLY ACCEPTING NEW PARENT SUPPORT CLIENTS**

Stephanie is a Psychotherapist with over 7 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds on their mental health journeys. She believes every client is unique and is committed to respecting and honouring each person’s individual experiences and needs. Using a holistic, client-centred approach, Stephanie integrates aspects of mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), attachment-based therapies, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) into personalized care. Whether navigating anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, infertility, relationship challenges, self-esteem and identity concerns, life transitions, or difficult family dynamics, Stephanie is dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate, and supportive space for healing and growth. She believes therapy should be a judgment-free space where adults and teens can openly explore their fears, anxieties, and struggles.

Stephanie is also a Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH) therapist specializing in supporting expectant mothers and their families during the transformative journey into parenthood and beyond. With a deep passion for maternal and parental wellbeing, Stephanie offers compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy to help clients navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise during conception, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. Her work includes support for fertility and reproductive challenges, birth trauma, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and the complexities of pregnancy and infant loss. Stephanie has also completed specialized training in perinatal grief and loss support.

Stephanie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Having personally navigated fertility and reproductive challenges, pregnancy, birth, postpartum mental health challenges, and the transition into motherhood, she understands the profound impact this season can have on mental health and identity.

In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Stephanie provides clinical supervision and program oversight for Rooted Family Wellness Centre’s Parent Support Program. In this role, she conducts intake assessments, develops individualized care plans for families, and provides ongoing supervision and consultation to Parent Support Practitioners to ensure services are delivered safely, ethically, and in alignment with evidence-informed perinatal care.

Stephanie’s services are covered by most extended health benefits plans as a Registered Social Worker. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm reimbursement. She sees individual clients (teens and adults) in person and provides services in English.
