We are a collaborative multidisciplinary wellness centre in Kanata offering holistic healthcare, movement, education, and family support services for individuals from preconception through parenthood.
We are seeking an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, evidence-informed practitioner who is passionate about helping families navigate infant feeding and early parenthood with confidence.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with pelvic health physiotherapists, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, mental health professionals, pediatric specialists, and other family-focused practitioners to provide comprehensive support for parents and babies.

About the Role
The IBCLC will provide individualized lactation and infant feeding support to families throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and infancy.
You may support families with:
- Prenatal feeding preparation and education
- Breastfeeding and chestfeeding support
- Latch and positioning challenges
- Low milk supply and oversupply concerns
- Pumping plans and return-to-work transitions
- Bottle feeding and combination feeding
- Tongue tie and oral function support
- Infant weight gain concerns
- Breast and nipple pain
- Mastitis and recurrent plugged ducts
- Multiples and complex feeding situations
- Parent confidence and responsive feeding support
This role may include in-clinic appointments, virtual consultations, home visits, workshops, and community education opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting comprehensive feeding assessments for infants and parents
- Developing individualized care plans and recommendations
- Providing evidence-informed education and support
- Collaborating with healthcare providers and community partners
- Maintaining professional documentation and client records
- Supporting families with compassion, empathy, and non-judgmental care
- Participating in interdisciplinary collaboration when appropriate

Qualifications
- Current IBCLC certification in good standing
- Professional liability insurance
- Experience supporting breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, and infant feeding challenges
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Experience working with infants and families
- Additional training in oral function, tongue ties, infant development, or related areas is considered an asset
