Becoming a parent is a significant life transition. Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period involve physical recovery, emotional adjustment, and learning to care for a newborn.
Rooted Family Wellness Centre offers Prenatal and Postnatal Parent Support in Kanata, serving Ottawa and surrounding communities. Our Parent Support program provides structured postpartum support, newborn care education, and emotional guidance to help families feel confident and supported during this transition.
Services are delivered by trained Parent Support Practitioners within a supervised program model. Each family begins with an initial consultation with our Registered Social Worker, who develops the care plan and provides ongoing oversight, coordination, and review throughout the duration of services.
Because Parent Support is provided under the oversight of a Registered Social Worker, eligible families may submit receipts under Social Work coverage, depending on their individual insurance policy.
